Verock Ky, DDS

Dr. Verock Ky has her roots in the Central Valley settling in Stockton after arriving from Cambodia as a young girl with her parents and 5 siblings. As an immigrant with hard working and industrious parents, Verock learned early on that she could achieve whatever goals she set her sight on. America truly meant the “land of opportunity” to her family whether it would be as a business owner or obtaining a higher education. It turned out that all 6 siblings would complete high education degrees and 5 are now doctors. Verock and two of her siblings are successful Dentists hailing from the University of Southern California. All three take great pride in their skills and have gained reputations as performing high quality dentistry. Verock’s oldest brother is a pain management specialist in Fresno who completed all his fellowships at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. The support from a family of dentists and medical doctors greatly improves Verock’s depth of knowledge when diagnosing and providing care to patients who at times can have complex health histories.

Services

Adults and children welcome.

Dental treatment will not have to be referred to another doctor with Dr Ky’s experience and expertise at:

A small titanium post that replaces the roots of a missing tooth and supports a custom-made crown. All phases will be monitored by Dr Ky from the implant placement to the permanent implant crown.

When the pulp of a tooth becomes infected or dies, root canal therapy is necessary to save the tooth. It is generally comfortable treatment that can save your tooth and keep your mouth healthy.

Generally, we recommend treatments that will save teeth, but when a tooth is so damaged that it cannot be saved, extraction is the best choice.  Extraction might be best for teeth that are fractured below the gumline, severe tooth decay, advanced periodontal disease, primary teeth that are too crowded or not falling out properly, an impacted wisdom tooth.

The goal of cosmetic dentistry is to turn a dull smile into a dazzling one.  We have several options to restore teeth that are chipped, missing, stained or discolored, or have uneven gums.

Are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your teeth.  They can be a great choice to improve teeth that are stained crooked, worn or have gaps. Veneers can give you straighter, whiter, and more even-looking teeth. The porcelain has a translucent quality that resembles your natural teeth.

To restore teeth that are chipped, protect weak teeth, cover a large filling, implant or teeth that are severely misshapen or discolored. Our crowns will have the translucency and color of your natural teeth.

Composite fillings:

A natural looking white restoration that is as strong or stronger than silver fillings. The preferred choice of fillings.

Amalgam fillings:

Strong and very durable silver material used for restorations. Amalgam can withstand heavy biting forces.  It's a good choice for restoring your tooth's function.

If you have a slight imperfection in your teeth, bonding can be a simple way to improve your smile. Bonding can repair teeth that are stained, chipped, crooked and have minor gaps.

Replace missing teeth and provides benefits including easier eating and clearer speech and have a natural-looking smile. Dentures help your jaws work in their correct and most comfortable position.

Flexible Partial Dentures:

When several teeth in your upper or lower arch are missing, a flexible partial denture is good treatment for replacing the. Flexible partials are removable appliances that are held in place by gum-colored clasps that fit around the necks of the remaining teeth. With proper home care and regular checkups, it can provide a functional bite and a natural-looking smile.

Implant Supported Dentures:

Implants will give the best support and hold a full denture securely in place.

A clear or white plastic coating that is placed on the biting surfaces of back teeth to help prevent tooth decay. Sealants fill the deep grooves and pits that are prominent on the back teeth.

In order to eliminate the source of periodontal infection, our hygienist gently removes plaque, tartar, and bacterial toxins from the tooth surfaces below the gumline. Routine cleanings are not enough because they generally focus on the areas of the tooth that are above the gumline. The outcome will remove the source of infection, help your gums heal and tighten around the teeth and give you back your healthy smile.

Your lips, cheeks and tongue are connected to your jawbone with a fold of tissue called the frenum. If the frenum is too long or too short, it can cause problems and should be removed. Infants can have problems breastfeeding. Toddlers to adults can have speech problems due to the condition. The procedure is safely completed using a laser.

Replacing the height and width of the jaw where bone tissues have receded. Filling the empty socket of an extracted tooth with bone material.
Sinus Lift: We open a small window into the sinus area above the missing tooth, and then place bone grafting material on the floor of the sinus.

We use computerized equipment and software to capture x-ray images of your mouth and teeth. It's faster and allows images to instantly show on the computer screen. This method is also much safer and provides up to 80% less radiation than with conventional x-rays.

We use energized light to precisely remove soft tissue. The light beam simultaneously sculpts and cauterizes the area. That means there is little to now bleeding, making your healing time faster. The laser beam sterilizes the tissue, reducing the chance of infection. We can use the laser to remove gum tissue without cutting, sterilize areas infected with bacteria, and lengthen crowns.

Oral Sedation

Dr Ky has vast experience using Oral Sedation to help apprehensive patients and those who want to complete their treatment in fewer visits. There are at least two patients per week who choose oral sedation to complete their dental treatment and these patients are always happy they did since it gave them a much more relaxing experience.
